Relief with Acupuncture
Acupuncture pain relief methods are an ancient Chinese method of relieving pain. It is used to treat pain, anxiety, weight reduction and substance abuse. In acupuncture very fine needles are pushed through the skin in to specific sites. These sites were mapped by Chinese practitioners long ago. Although most acupuncture consists of needling alone, in some cases electric current is also passed through the needle and in others herbs are burnt in a container attached to the outer end of the needle.
Treatments involve one of the 20 needles, lasts 20- 30 minutes and usually require several sessions to obtain pain relief. Make sure that your acupuncture practitioner uses new needles and cleans your skin with alcohol before performing the acupuncture.
